Opener # Agentic coding has been an exciting change to me over the last couple of months specifically. I’ve been using AI tools for a few years now but something really shifted with Opus 4.5 as well as the tools/harnesses getting better and more useful around the same time. I’ve been influenced by people like Simon Willison and Steve Yegge who have been on the forefront of agentic coding and vibe engineering since the dawn of ChatGPT and in my small circles of work I’m definitely on the bloodiest bleeding edge of the adoption of these practices. Are they the future? I don’t know - I tried to maintain a skeptical posture but until the bubble pops it’s looking like this is at least a direction the future of my line of work is going.
